What contributors and city partners ask us most

Your phone already has sensors that measure things like brightness, movement, and air pressure. GreenGains reads these sensors every few minutes and sends the data to us. We group it by location and time of day. No photos, no audio -- just basic sensor readings.

We collect weather conditions, approximate location (within a few hundred meters), movement patterns, and light levels. That's it. No photos, no microphone, no personal information. You can delete your data anytime.

Most users see around 3% battery drain per day. We use smart batching to collect data efficiently, and the app automatically pauses when your battery drops below 15% (unless you're charging).

You earn per upload based on data quality and location demand. Moving around to different areas generally earns more than staying in one place. Payment is automatic when you reach the minimum threshold.

The app runs completely in the background after setup. You can open it anytime to check your earnings and claim daily rewards, but it's not required -- data collection happens automatically.
